Bristol Kite Festival
sandbox is the web sponsor for the festival, keeping it online 24/7. Vivid colours, and exciting imagery made this a visually exciting project to produce, and the site (we've been told) has been receiving rave reviews. Our specially designed Rokakku (Japanese fighting kite) will hopefully have good luck at this years festival when it takes to the skies in the kite battles!

The key challenge with this website was to have masses of text content mixed nicely with tons of great photos from the festivals 22 years! Plus the average age group spans from 1 to 100, so the site design needed to be both usable and entertaining. A challenge worthy of the talents at sandbox…
Clean typography, strong colours, thoughtful site-mapping, nice mark-up and degradable multimedia make this an accessible treat for all.
As a side note, being the festivals the web sponsor gave us the opportunity to play with some pretty cool extras like community generated content from flickr.com and delicious...
